Each Child’s Success….

Depends on YOU

Strong Families
Involved Communities

Helps Empower Youth and Build Successful Futures
A Dozen ways you can help your child succeed:

  • Plan to eat at least one meal together as many times a week as possible.
  • Look for things to do together as a family as well as alone time for each child with you.
  • Establish a regular routine for study times, studying, and bedtime

  • Teach your child the importance of giving by volunteering together in the community
  • Help your children establish good habits. Whether it is completing homework before play or picking up after themselves and keeping their room neat, these habits can set the stage for success later in life.
  • Help kids learn from problems, not be devastated by them. Even when something doesn't work out as they'd planned, successful people try to learn something from the experience.
  • Praise their efforts, not the outcome
  • Encourage active learning, at school and on their own time too.
  • Get involved-in your child’s school, extra-curricular activities, interests, friendships.
  • Establish and enforce clear rules and guidelines, using age-appropriate reasonable and natural limits and consequences
  • Encourage your child to be responsible and work independently
  • Teach your child the value of money and belongings and the difference between Needs vs. Wants
